Shane Ashton
Chief Operating Officer & Co Founder
Shane Ashton has over 8 years experience working in the credit and collections industry having worked at some of the largest and most successful debt recovery, business information and credit reporting organisations.
Shane was previously responsible for the management of the consumer collection division at Australian Recoveries & Collection Pty Ltd (ARC) which consisted of 3 teams and more than 15 staff.
Shane helped put ARC on the map in relation to the consumer collections sector, growing the department from just 2 staff with minimal revenues and clients, to a strong competitive force in the consumer debt recovery industry. They consistently outperformed other much larger agencies on key customer panels.
One of Shane’s greatest achievements whilst at ARC was the successful tender response for Optus Billing Services (Optus) which resulted in ARC initially being awarded a minor position on their agency panel managing the smallest of the Optus portfolio’s collecting on the fixed line accounts.
Shane quickly demonstrated his ability to exceed on the targets set by Optus on that portfolio and in less than 2 years was able to deliver exceptions results forcing Optus to promote ARC twice to higher position on their panel, dislodging 2 of the biggest debt recovery agents along the way, including D&B and Collection House. Shane was firstly promoted to the SME Portfolio and then later to the Mobile portfolio which represented a 5 times increase in work from the initial position.
Shane was able to achieve these results to his innovative approach to debt recovery, his leadership and application of a positive collections approach.

Other key clients Shane was responsible for bringing on board at ARC include Westfarmers, Hollard Insurance, and Suncorp.
Prior to this, he was at Dun & Bradstreet where he was responsible for managing the key NSW clients within the Receivables Management Services Team (Debt Recovery) and also the Risk Management Services Team (Credit Reporting).
